In the 2002 Spring Issue of the SOUVENIR BUILDING COLLECTOR, Scott Daniels posed the question, “Building Blocks or Plastic Prisons?” In this article he discussed the “manufacturing of Lucite embedments (which is what buildings in Lucite are considered)” from just post-WW2 to the early 1980s. In documenting these encased buildings, Scott provided a list of 32, which he named the L-List. Some notables from that list are:

Baptist Memorial Church, Memphis, TN                    Governor’s Mansion, Williamsburg, VA
Graceland, Memphis, TN                                                Independence Hall, Philadelphia, PA
Kyoto Bridge, Kyoto, Japan                                            Post Office, Providence, RI
Space Needle, Seattle, WA                                              Travelers Ins. Co, Hartford, CT
